Honker Prospect

The Honker Au-Ag prospect is located in the Illinois Creek Mining District, 44 miles southwest of the town of Galena, (pop. 1,000). It is approximately six miles north of the Illinois Creek Mine, camp and airstrip. The Honker Au-Ag vein system was discovered in 1981 by Anaconda Minerals Company. Drilling, rock geochemical sampling and surface geophysical surveys were conducted at Honker in 1982. Two large bulk samples of the Honker mineralization were collected in 1982 and analyzed at Anaconda Minerals Co. Tucson, AZ laboratory. Although the data is historical in nature and non NI 43-101 compliant, the samples indicated significant gold values. The prospect consists of a minimum of two sub-parallel, gold bearing silicified vein breccia structures that trend N20-25E.

Drilling, rock geochemical sampling and surface geophysical surveys were conducted at Honker by Anaconda in 1982-83. Two large bulk samples of the Honker mineralization were collected in 1982 and analyzed at the Anaconda Minerals Co. Tucson, AZ laboratory. Although the data is historical in nature and non-NI 43-101 compliant, the samples indicated significant gold values of + 1 opt or +34 g/MT. Leach testing reported gold recoveries of 90.7-94.1%.

In 2014 WAC&G completed a trenching program at both the Main Honker and West Honker veins in an effort to collect multiple samples of mineralization. These samples were shipped to Resource Development Inc. (RDI), a metallurgical testing lab in Denver, CO for evaluation of gravity and leaching extraction methods of gold. The results will be reported by December 2014.

Based on the results of the metallurgical testing, RDI will design a flow sheet for the most efficient extraction method and estimate the capital cost for a Pilot Mill.
